Our philosophy at the AFTC is to provide more than just “tennis lessons”. We believe in providing a holistic environment for juniors to develop long lasting physical and personal habits so they can be role models for future generations. Juniors will learn the correct physical literacy skills to “move like an athlete”, and technical and tactical skill development to confidently progress from one level to another. Our Tennis Canada certified instructors and coaches are continually developing their teaching skills to deliver the latest coaching methods so all juniors can strive to be the best they can.

NEW! Evaluations: SkillShark Our coaches and staff are continuously looking for best practices to add value to our programs. Since last fall we have been using a fantastic tool called SkillShark to help our coaches evaluate and monitor your kids skill development throughout the session, from one session to another and from one level to another.
Our written report card we use to do our reports at the end of each session will now be replaced by the SkillShark app. Benefits of using SkillShark are:

Power Up: At the AFTC we believe in helping and guiding juniors in our tennis program to become all round athletes. Besides learning tennis skills, and physical literacy skills, our coaches will, throughout the session, talk about healthy lifestyle habits. Using the information from the Power Up program (tremplinsante.ca) juniors in our program will learn the importance of healthy eating habits, importance of physical activity as well as develop personal confidence.
